Hi! I’m Kelly, I’m so excited to have joined the Simple Wellness Massage team. Although I am fairly new to the massage therapy world, I also bring to the table 15 years of experience working in physical therapy as a Physical Therapist Assistant. My prior experience in PT allows me to connect best with individuals who experience chronic pain, acute pain, and other orthopedic complications. I was always a very hands-on PTA and always say I took my favorite part of my job and turned it into my entire career! I do my best to create an individualized experience for each client addressing their needs with the most appropriate approach and techniques. I also feel passionate about empowering clients to take charge in their health journey by teaching them ways to improve and prevent their pain through stretches and exercises that can be performed at home.
Massage therapy has many benefits to our mental and physical wellbeing, whether it is to reduce physical pain or improve mental health through decreasing anxiety, depression, or stress. The mind and body are strongly connected and I enjoy helping individuals discover which massage techniques will address their specific needs and improve their overall wellbeing.
In 2013 I became a certified lymphedema therapist from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies and spent 2 years working in women’s health physical therapy treating breast cancer and lymphedema patients. As a massage therapist I am able to use this certification offering manual lymphatic drainage to clients in need of these services.
When I am not caring for my clients, I am fulfilling my favorite role as a mother to two amazing boys who keep me laughing and always on the go. I also love gardening, crocheting, cooking, crafting, home projects, being outdoors, puzzles, and spending time with my family, including our 2 dogs and cat. I cannot wait to meet you!
