Meet Abigail Davis, LMT
(You can call me Abby — that’s with a Y!)
Hello! I’m Abigail Davis, a Licensed Massage Therapist with a deep passion for helping others through intentional, therapeutic touch. I began my journey right here in Lincoln, Nebraska, where I received my massage therapy education at the Myotherapy Institute. After stepping down from a full-time management position, I unknowingly set off on a path of self-discovery—one that ultimately led me to a fulfilling career in massage therapy.
After earning my associate degree and licensure in Nebraska, I gained valuable experience working in a chiropractic office. During that time, I reconnected with Tonia, a classmate from massage school, who encouraged me to consider joining the team at Simple Wellness Massage. By December 2016, I knew SWM was where I was meant to be.
Since joining the team, I’ve had the opportunity to grow and refine my skills through advanced training in Craniosacral Therapy, Deep Tissue techniques, cupping, and massage modalities related to specific medical conditions.
I have a particular connection with clients navigating mental health challenges—whether it’s day-to-day stress, anxiety, or clinical diagnoses such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, or Depression. Having my own experience with mental health has given me a deeper understanding and compassion for others walking a similar path. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is witnessing the healing that happens through the power of therapeutic touch.
Outside the treatment room, I am an active and committed volunteer with Scouts BSA, where I’ve been involved for nearly a decade. Through scouting, I’ve shared countless adventures—camping, hiking, and life lessons—with my children and community. I wholeheartedly believe in the mission and values of BSA and serve in various leadership roles to support that vision.
Whether I’m offering healing through massage or mentoring youth through scouting, I measure success by the ability to positively impact the lives around me.
